Recently, my unit asked me to recalibrate, and stated that the gage wasn't
accurate. Rather than be without my BN for over 18 hours, or however long it
would take, I let it run down until it froze, then plugged it in and let it
charge fully. This did not reset the battery cycle count, but it is no longer
asking for recalibration.

I absolutely dislike the new battery calibration method. First of all the
manual does not state that it may take more than one cycle to perform this,
and, I used to use the I in the support mote to give me a clue when I might
want to calibrate again, it I had an inaccuracy count of 12-15 I generally
did a calibrate. Then I started over at 1 again, not any longer, and my
mPower 32 transplant came back home with a cycle count of 7.

I'd rather choose the time to fix problems, not have the unit suddenly
decide it needs to be recalibrated when I am at work or traveling, thank
you!

Hi all,

Well, apparently, one *can* discharge a battery when the AC is plugged in.
I think it's weird, but it says it's completed, and has been recharging for
twenty-two minutes. It's quit yawping, too, so something must be right.
Man, Humanware, huccum you did this thing
that seems so illogical but works? I'm not really complaining, I'm
just totally flummixed! Hey, if it works, I'm not going to fix it, but
discharging the battery while the AC is plugged in????
