Hi Rhonda and others,
In regards to the classic braillenotes/voicenotes, they do run very
well on keysoft 7.
I do have a number of units running keysoft 7.0 on a classic
braillenote/voicenote and they do run very well.
What I have been finding though, people have their flash drive very
full and there is not enough room for the upgrade, or parts will not
install, because the customer has to much data on the flash drive.
I just had a PK customer call the other day and said his manual was
gone, well the first thing I checked was how much room he had left on
his flash drive. He had only 100,000 bytes left out of 14mb. so the
PK was deleteing things like the manual to give him more room. But
eventually his PK would probibly lock up or start deleting other material.
So if you are having issues with the keysoft running slow or things
missing from the installation, check on how much room you have on
your flash drive, remember the classic braillenotes/voicenotes only
have about 16mb total size on the flash drive. unlike the MPower
units, which have 128mb in total size.
Otherwise, if you are having issues with your classic, it could be
signs of hardware issues.

Hi Bob, and List:
Bob, several good points were made in your post. I have worked with
three people today who just upgraded their classics to 7.0.
After one upgrade was installed, the Flash Disk became
unavailable. One person lost their manual.
I think the 7.0 is too much for the classics. I can see why it had
to be done, because many people felt as though they were being left
in the dust, because of the MP-ower and the PK.
Unfortunately, the people I upgraded now wish they could go back.
I don't see any way that the classic could continue to be upgraded.
I had thought about trying to repair my Braille Display, because I
need it desperately. It seems that work is not being done on the
classic BrailleNote too fast. I spoke with someone today in tech
support who told me my unit would probably sit for a while, because
of the backlog.
I too apologize for this lengthy post, but would appreciate any
information that Humanware could give on some of these problems.
