Wow, boy does this look messed up! I made a database with the following fields.
"Name", "Start Date", "Start Time", "End Date", "End Time", "Total Time", "Billed", "Job", "Notes" A typical entry would go like this: string Name mr smith Date Start Date 01/01/06 - the braillenote would expand the date out to month date year Time start Time 5:00p Date End Date 01/01/06 Time End Time 5:15p Number Total Time 0.15 Yes or no choice Billed no String Job small description Document Notes detailed notes Here is what one of the exported lines look like: "mr smith", "Tuesday January 24 2006", "5:00 pm", "Tuesday January 24 2006", "5:15 pm", "0.14999999999999999", "no", "trashbin login setup", " setup trashbin password email [EMAIL PROTECTED] password xxxxxx3 birthday used 11/11/1960 first company work for city trash " My questions when viewing this in excel directly loading the csv file: 1. Why are some of the items showing up with quotes around them? 2. why is the notes in column a in stead of column I? 3 when I read this in excel under the start time columes I see 2006 and not the start time. 4 under the total time colume the numbers are not what I entered they look expanded out I entered the times and total time directly from the example above. So .14999999 would be .15 rounded. In the notes field I did use returns for easier reading. Any help to get a cleaner copy would be good.
