Hi Virgie, If you already have a Braillenote, and carry it around often, the Braillenote solution may be for you, as you will already have some of the required equipment. The Trekker is a different system entirely, with different hardware and software. The Trekker is a more compact unit because it runs on a small PDA. The PDA has been modified with an adaptive keypad and navigation bar. I believe that both handle basic navigation tasks equally well, but the Sendero software that runs on the BN can give you more information about your surroundings. Both systems have a user community, and listservs. The Trekker can be bundled with a software package called Maestro, which gives the PDA some additional functionality, such as planner, address list, etc. Interestingly enough, the Trekker, hardware and all, sells for about the same as the Sendero package, which, of course, assumes that you already have a BN.
