The GPS sounds like a wonderful piece of equipment. Being GPS challenged, is it really worth the money you must pay for it? Nottrying to flame here, I just want to know a bit more before I make such a purchase. At 06:33 AM 3/21/2006, VIRGIE UNDERWOOD wrote:

Hi Bob,
You are right Leader Dog is training people to use the gps program. The Seeing Eye is doing a pilate program to see how it will work. I am going to buy it I just have not made up my mind which way I will go yet.

Hi, I hear that leader Dogs has received a grant to train blind persons to use the Treker. ----- Original Message ----- From: "VIRGIE UNDERWOOD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi Linda,
I am hearing good things about it as well. I haven't decided for sure but I think I am leaning more toward Trekker for ease of portability and less weight. I hope you get to go to be trained this year too, let me know!

Hi Virgie,
Someone I highly respect told me that she thought the Sendero with the Bk was the best and most servicable. Michael Mae, a graduate of Seeing Eye, developed the Sendero and owns the company. I hope to be going this year as one of the people to the Seeing Eye to work with the Gps and the Sendero. It is on the way as we speak.
