Let me know how it works for you. That is the bluetooth device I have, but I
don't know whether it is to blame for my problems with bluetooth or not. I
have tried to use it with both it's software and with the microsoft bluetooth
stack. Both worked fine with my cell phone, but neither got me anywhere with
my braillenote. With the bluesoleil software the com port was too high for
active sync, but pairing with my BrailleNote seemed to work fine. I didn't
know how to change the com ports for JAWS so I couldn't give it a fair test
with JAWS. With the microsoft stack I can get a low enough com port for active
sync, but active sync didn't seem to appear in the list of services. Again it
may very well be something wrong that has nothing to do with the device.

I can tell you for sure that the installation for the bluesoleil software is
terrible and if you can install it without assistance you've had good luck.
Once it is installed the software is accessible enough, though.

My mistake, the software that works with my dongle is Bluesoleil. I'm a bit
concerned that the software may be required for this thing to work.
  I haven't received it yet. We'll see I guess.

  Rusty:
I'm using the Belkin Bluetooth adapter with its software. If I remember
correctly, I had to to hit enter on the CD and then go to setup and install
the software. I couldn't follow the auto install. Now let me warn you,
installing Belkin is a royal pain! When you get it working though, its
beautiful. Go to Amazon and look at the reviews, someone posted a good
  review to update the drivers.

  Hi folks,
I'm about to get a bluetooth dongle for my computer.

What I'm discovering is that some come with some sort of software that gives
you a graphical interface for controling the bluetooth connections.

Does any one have any experience with these devices and the software to run
  them?

Are there drivers in windows xp to run bluetooth without having to use the
bundled graphical software for bluetooth devices?

  Thanks!
  Rusty
