Oh, Jonathan, thank you so very much!!! I will go through the steps as 
outlined.  However, my problem will not be from .RTF to .TXT but when I 
change back.  Will the page breaks be saved then? If I were to re-save my 
file in .RTF, would that help keep the file whole.  I am assuming that when 
I open the file originally that it is a .TXT trying to read .RTF.  If I need 
to keep in .RTF, what can I do to avoid taking out format markers?  I deeply 
appreciate your help.  I have not had this problem since the large file 
problem, and it is very frustrating.
