Hi roger;
Can you give me the steps for NLS and the NFB site. I need to learn to down
load on to a cf card from a computer. I have a password for NLS. I never got
good at it while on 5.1.
Thanks for any help.
I've got to master it some day. I want to down load all the Curnel books from
NFB.

Subject: [Braillenote] bookshare and the qt models

         Hi folks,

I just received my MPower braillenote qt 32 cell unit back to day
from HumanWare, since it was damage by a customer and first tried the
bookshare site.

I had no problem in going to the site, then went to the login link
and had no problem logging in with my password and users name.

I then went to new books and picked one and successfully downloaded
it to my download folder on my flash drive.
I then opened it up with my password and it was all there no problems

I next went to the NLS web braille site and logged in with my users
name and password and it is real easy grabbing books or magazines
from their site and saving to my flash drive or any other drive on my
MPower braillenote qt.

The trick on web braille when you sign in and go to a book and click
on it, it opens up on your braillenote to read there or I do a
control s, to save book or magazine and backspace to drive, then
spacebar to folder, then press enter after giving the file a name.
that is it!

The nls web braille site is not your normal login users name and
password like bookshare.
when it ask you to login, I arrow down to where it says users name
and right there I type my users name and press the enter key.
Now it ask me for my password, I again right there type in my
password and press enter.
Now I am onn the many links for books or magazines.
I only click on the HTM link, not the TXT links.
The htm links will let you click on them and open up the book or
magazine, then this is where you use the control key and the letter s
on the qt model to save it, it then ask you folder name, which I
always backspace to drive list and then chose the drive where I want
it, then the folder where I want to put it, then press enter on that
folder name, and now the braillenote ask me for a file name, I call
it espn part one march 13 2006, or what ever you are downloading, and
it puts a extention .brf on it.

I hope this makes more sense to those who are having great difficulty
with bookshare or web braille.
So for those who are not getting logged in or can not download from
bookshare it is you or something strange with your provider and not
the qt or bt MPower units.
