Hi Sarah V.; I always use spase e and space full cell. I have only had to reset about 3 or 4 times since I got 5.0 and now I have my MPower, 7.0. saving your way has to many steps when space with e will save your document. I may have to go to your method when I start using my MPower for longer transactions. Right now, my highlight is the address book and short transactions in word processor. I keep my nut sales which are short transactions, notes about NFB, Admin notes and other items but I am just trying to learn the book reader and the radio feature. I sure will love it when I can learn how to down load the curnel books and read what I shoud have read many years ago. bye for now. Terry Powers

I have gone days without seeing the main menu once. I just save my document when I have done some editing and I frequently turn my BrailleNote off or switch to other applications. I have been working with my BN that way for years, first with the original BrailleNote BT 32 and now with an MPower. I have frequently had to do resets, but I've never lost anything, because saving has become a totally automatic thing. I just hit Space with S then enter then y and I'm back to writing in my document in a couple seconds. Going to the main menu would waste way too much time, so I wouldn't do it often enough to protect all my work. I haven't noticed that resets are less frequent when you go to the main menu often either. I tried it for a while to see, but I didn't really notice a difference in behavior. If you have a classic and have a huge file open you might want to leave it before turning your BrailleNote off, because you can save time by not opening the file all the time if you don't happen to need that file next time you turn your BN on.
