Dial up uses the regular phone. You can't talk on the phone and connect to the internet at the same time with dial up. DSL, on the other hand, also uses a phone line, but you can talk on the phone and connect to the web at the same time, using a phone line.

I mean do you have to have a home based phone line? I am just wondering. Thanks in advance. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Stewart J Prost Sent: Friday, March 24, 2006 4:08 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: Re: [Braillenote] questions I got my MPower very recently, and really want to get on the Internet and do email using it. My husband & I have DSL instead of a dial-up service. This may be a dumb question, but can you get on the Internet and use the Braille Note for email using DSL or do you have to have a dial-up account. Either way, I would like to get Specific directions for doing this. Thanks!!!
