Hello Carol,
No offense taken.
I do not have a hearing problem, and I have had a braillenote since 2002. So, I am very used to using the braillenote, and I have had a mpower since October, so, I am very use to using the sd card slot. I really think it is the slot, because the card is in but if I try to do anything, it says the system cannot find the file scecified.
So, I am off to call Humanware.
thanks anyways.
Robert

Robert,

I really don't want you to have to send that unit back
unnecessarily so, at the risk of stating the very obvious and
with no intention to offend you or anyone else, here's the final
shot. (this is based on the possibility that you're not totally
used to the unit and/orthat you may have a hearing problem which
prevents you from hearing the little "click" sound as the SD card
engages.

I found, when first we had our mPower, that the card would indeed
"click" in, making a small sound and I could feel it engaging,
but it would sometimes flip out from that position because I
wasn't pressing quite hard enough. I didn't always notice
straight away; but that meant that the unit saw my card as "not
available" when i thought it was.

If this helps at all, I'll be more than happy. If it doesn't
then we've all given it the best try we know how.

All the best to you when you get in touch with HW.

Carol.
