Good to see you up here again, Jim. I believe you are correct in the fact that the newer Romeo works better.

Subject: [Braillenote] I think I'm here!

Hello all,

Hopefully I am back on list. My posts were bouncing and I hope I
took the appropriate measures to solve the problem on my end as well as any problems my ISP was having after bringing the bounce problem to their attention. We'll see!

For those who may be wondering, I did get the Infrared interface.
It is working nicely with my M-power and Juliet Braille Embosser from Enabling Technologies. I successfully brailled and sent out our state newsletter from our association of the blind. Sometimes, the new interface worked better than my older BN. Other times it was a bit hesitant but it seemed to work fine. Should one wipe off the infrared port on the M-power somehow as well as the part on the interface which receives data from the M-power? If either of these surfaces were dirty, would this not interrupt data flow?

I was at our state convention of our association of the blind
this past weekend. I was to do a demonstration on how a braille Embosser works with my M-power. I was provided an old Romeo Braille Embosser. It had a serial number of 719 or maybe 735, can't recall for certain. I had to roll the paper in so that a blank page was ahead of the page I was about to emboss. That's how that vintage of Romeo worked. My M-power and infrared interface worked fine on that ancient Romeo! I was impressed! No doubt, the M-power will work much better on the newer Romeo embossers.
