Would you send me the checkbook workbook, Joseph? Thanks.

This is Joseph. As I have stated earlier, Freedom Scientific has
created a
Checkbook Workbook that can be used on Excel. Simply open the
Excel workbook
and save it as a .csv file, then import it on the BN end.
P.S. If you want me to send it to you, please write to me
off-list at

The problem is that with a spreadsheet, one needs to learn how to
create and
insert formulas in into the various cells. A checking account
program
doesn't require any learning on how to manipulate or create a
spreadsheet.

The Pac Mate uses Microsoft Pocket Excel. Therefore, a simple
spreadsheet
can be designed that would allow you to keep track of anything
within
reason. I speak here of things financial. The problem is, that
the
Braillenote doesn't use the pocket pc platform, therefore,
Humanware will
have to design software that fits into the Keysoft model. I
believe they
could do it, and since this idea has come up fairly often,
perhaps they
will.

Hi all. That makes sense from Humanware's point of view but in
that case,
couldn't a similar program be manufactured for Keysoft products
with the
same functionality? As with the case of the TTY, and no, I'm not
wanting to
re-bisit old ground, we don't want the BN products to fall behind
when these
programs are available on the PACMate.
Cheers!
Michele

Money Talks is a licensed product produced by APH (American
Printing House
for the Blind) and as such is not public domain. It is not very
Keysoft
like, and I would venture to say that HW would not want to take
on someone
else's product.

Dear Paul
Would Money Talks be used for budgeting purposes or more for
keeping track
of bills paid etc? Could it be used for both? Sounds like a
great idea
anyway.
Cheers!
Michele

Hi, Gang. I have been playing with the money talks program from
APH. Each
transaction is on a separate line and you move between
transactions with up
or down arrow. You move between items in each transaction with
left and
right arrows. I got to thinking how nice this would be if it
could be
imported into a braille note. I wonder if Humanware could work
with APH to
get a version for the bn? Wouldn't that be great? Money talks
imports and I
assume, exports quicken interchange files (QIF
files) so that one could just save the information from money
talks and then
import it into that program if it were on the bn. You could
always have an
updated checking and savings account with you.
Something to consider.
