Hi Dean,
I beg to differ.
According to the rules of braille, "imm" can only be translated as immediate if it is by itself, or "immly" for immediately.

The very odd part of this is that if you use a word like: immaculate, or immanence, it pronounces them correctly. It only messes up if the "imm" occurs somewhere other than the beginning and is only one syllable.

I will double check this, but as a braille instructor, I feel fairly sure about this one.

Hello Terry,

The discrepancy is being seen due to the way that Duxbury is choosing to
translate this word, which technically speaking, is correct.

A work around is to put grimmediate (as a word), into the pronunciation
dictionary and type grimm for the misspelling.

Subject: [Braillenote] need help with pronounciation

Hello. My name is Terry and i have a quick question. I am reading a book
that i downloaded from bookshare. The book is about the Fantastic four. One
of the characters in the book is named Ben Grimm. His last name is spelled g
r i m m. As you know the i m m in braille stands for immediate, so, the
braille note is pronouncing the last name as grimmediate. This is disturbing
to me. Any help to clear up this problem would be appreciated. Thanks.
