Hi Alex,

Some providers require different authentication schemes when you are trying to send mail from another network. I would call your ISP and ask them if you need a different setting when trying to send from somewhere else. In my case, I have to turn authentication on if I'm not at home, but I don't need it when I am at home. I just set up two different accounts in the BN so I don't have to go in and edit the account each time.

I hope it is that simple,
Richard

Hi all,

I have always had a strange problem with my BN. Whenever I connect to a WIFI network, I can do everything HW advertises except send an email. For some reason, I get an error message that has nothing to do with my SMTP server. I can only send emails from home, and that is extremely annoying.

Thanks for any help,
Alex
