I mean that my SMTP server has never been down when I try to send an email, and that the error message I get does not mention my SMTP server at all.

I will call my ISP and see what is going on.

Alex, what do you mean, the error has nothing to do with your
SMTP server? I used to have this problem with Earthlink, until I used their authentication scheme.

Subject: [Braillenote] Trouble sending email

Hi all,

I have always had a strange problem with my BN. Whenever I
connect to a WIFI network, I can do everything HW advertises
except send an email. For some reason, I get an error message
that has nothing to do with my SMTP server. I can only send
emails from home, and that is extremely annoying.

Thanks for any help,
Alex
