Hi KC,

I'm definitely not Shane, (Grins), whom I would also like to thank for the
information. However, I can answer your question: Yes, you can play Winter
Wonderland, and other text adventure games, using only Braille. I do this
quite frequently. You get a line or two of text, or possibly as much as a
paragraph, and it's all displayed in Braille in typical BN fashion. When you
type in your commands to the game, you can read what you are typing in Braille,
as well. I have found the occasional graphic-based text adventure game that
wouldn't run on the BN, but those wouldn't work with either Braille or speech.
HW did a remarkable job with the games application on the BN, other PC-based
text adventure applications don't work nearly as well, if at all, with Braille.
But now, for instance, I can sit in a staff meeting, pretend to be taking
notes, and be playing a game all the while, with no one being the wiser. I
know, I'm a brat! It's one reason why Rich and I get along so well.

Sarah C

Shane,
Excuse me for butting in. First, it was good of you to follow
through and provide the missing link! (smile)
Second, is Winter Wonderland something I can play, just using
braille, no speech?
KC
