Hello Alex,
I brought up the ability to move folders in the users meeting at CSUN and it was noted by Jonathan that this function was wanted. What I forgot to do, but a friend told me someone else mentioned it, but I don't remember hearing it, was to talk about the ability of embossing, printing and so forth from within a file, but your idea of doing all of this from the folder management, sounds like a good idea.
Regards,
Robert

YES!!! Also, why not just have a file (or folder) action menu for
the marked files/folders in lists? Maybe print, emboss, copy,
move, erase, and so on. I think the file/folder management could
stand for a little overall improving: why can't we copy or move
folders, for example?

Well, as long as we are going to have or talk about having being
able to open a file from the file manager, how about having the
ability to print or emboss while in a document. I don't like
having to exit out of a document in order to print or emboss.

I have a suggestion for an improvement which I would like very
much but which might not really be feasible. If it isn't
feasible, then it just isn't. But anyway, I've gotten very used
to being able to go through file and folder lists in Windows
Explorer and select contiguous and even noncontiguous items.
Sure would be great to do this on the BN. I know we can use the
wildcards, and that's really wonderful, but it's not really the
same thing.

I guess I'm really saying that I wish that Keysoft were maybe
just a little bit more like the positive side of Windows.
Without the negatives, of course, like the obtuse error messages,
the bad help systems, the even worse tech support, etc. No, I
don't want the bad stuff about Windows, but a little more file
and folder functionality would be nice.

I realize that with the Keysoft system, these things may not be
possible, but they sure would be nice.

 Thanks for hearing me out.
