Hi Rhonda,
Depending on what type of files you back up, you can read some.
The secret is that your back-up folder contains many subfolders. Try going into directory mode and checking it out there.

Richard who has many subfolders scattered about on many cf cards.

You pretty much understood me exactly. If you'd like to restore
them, you can go to Utilities, bress B, then press R to restore.
If you want to copy any files, you can see them just as you want.
I hope I'm making sense. After reading one post, that said just
to reverse it, I tried it. I cannot read files that I have
backed up. If I am leading you astray, someone will give us the
corrected information. Good luck to you, and if we can help
further, please don't hesitate to ask. I am also looking at your
template question, as I haven't done much with those. I will
take a look, however.

Hello there! This is Isaih, and I was the list member that
posted the original question regarding reading backed up files.
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my query, and if I
understood you correctly, I won't be able to read any of the
backed up files unless or until I actually restore them? If it
is that I have misunderstood what you were saying, would you mine
clarifying for me how to access the hidden files? Thanks again.

Subject: [Braillenote] Back Up Files

This message is concerning reading backup files. If files are
backed up, you can see the folder name, but they are pretty much
"hidden" files. When you restore them on your new unit, you can
see them, or if you restore them back to where you want them;
example would be your address list. If I'm not making sense,
please post again. I meant to keep the original message so I
could refer to you, but of course, my delete finger got
overactive, <smile>. I am writing to the person who just wrote
for the first time.
