Hello, Kevin:

Generally, if you use your unit every day, toward the 18 month period, you'll find your battery getting critical at around 80 per cent. This seems to vary from machine to machine. Just pay attention to your battery life, how many hours it can be used before it needs charged. The older it gets, you'll see those changes.> ----- Original Message -----

Rhonda,
And, do you know what tends to occur around this 18 months time
frame, such
as the battery only lasting around an hour or the life of the
battery is
tremendousley shorten or is there some type of warning message on
the
BrailleNote part stating "you need to send your unit in for a
battery
replacement," or something along that line.
Thanks very much.
Kevin

Hi Keven:

18 months is about what is calculated before sending your unit
in for a
battery change. Many people make their battery last longer than
that, but
18 months is recommended.

Dear List,
I was wondering how many times are you able to charge the mPower
until you will need to send it in to get the batter changed, and
in addition what will happend when you get to this certain
number, for example will the mPower not hhold a charge at all and
die once it is off the adapter? And, I was wondering the
samething for a Classic unit.
Thanks for the response.
Kevin
