Hello Joseph and List:
I have experienced this pitch issue with my BrailleNote classic running
version 4.01. I have since upgraded to an mPower and have not yet
experienced this problem. I'm not saying that this problem does not exist
for mPower users, just that I have not yet experienced it myself. Because I
was using version 4.01 at the time I encountered this issue, I was using the
KeyNote Gold synthesizer. I may also not have experienced this problem yet
with the mPower because I do not tend to use speech frequently. I have
always been able to fix this problem by changing the pitch by one increment
and then switching it back, as far as I remember.

This is Joseph. For folks who had this kind of issue: what synthesizer
were
you using?

Hi Tiffany: I've noticed mine changes pitch on one person's specific
email
address. I can read their email, but when it gives me the address, my BN
speeds up. It makes me suspect it's the way things are written. I
usually
don't have to reset, generally I can go to the main menu. Sometimes, I
will
change me speech rate up one, then bring it back down. It is kind of
strange, though.

Subject: [Braillenote] email question
Hello All,
I first want to wish everyone a Happy Easter!
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with their
BN. When reading e-mails my speech pitch all of a sudden goes higher.
I have done nothing to change it it just does it on its own and the
only way to get it back to normal is to do a reset. Anythoughts on why
this happens?
Tiffany
