Hi Jeff, and thanks for the suggestion.
USB printing isn't the problem per se since I can print to the printer's USB
port from the desktop computer. However, I should dig a little deeper in to
the printer's documentation--if I can find it (grin).

Is there perhaps a change you need to make on the printer itself to allow
for USB printing?? I know that with a couple of HP's, I had to make a
change in either some small jumper switches at the back of the printer or
via pressing the front panel buttons in a certain way.
