Kevin,

Obviously, Rachael thought your suggestion was a good one, and for what it's
worth, so do I. I have been wanting to write such a message to this list for a
while now. But, if you criticize, you should be prepared to accept
constructive criticism when you don't proofread your own message in which you
ask others to proofread. What you got was a gentle ribbing, a reminder for us
all to take a good hard look at our own actions before riding other people.
Finally, to drag this thread, kicking and screaming, back on topic, it's very
obvious when someone is using a BT or QT keyboard if they don't proofread
and/or spell-check. In three separate messages, you wrote the letter "m", when
you meant to write "ck". This is blatantly a BT error. I know, I'm
criticizing you again, but I don't intend to be cruel, and it's definitely
something to look out for should you be writing a really important document in
which you want to sound as well-spoken as possible. This is just one of the
reasons I will never, if I can help it, do extensive typing on a BT keyboard.
While I do make plenty of mistakes on my QT, (I just proofread exhaustively so
no one has to see them), I make many more mistakes on a BT keyboard.

Just some thoughts from your friendly rock-dweller, back into hiding I go!

Sarah C

Rachael,
That is only one mistake; I am talking about the times when
people make mistakes throughout their emails. You are still able
to get what I was trying to say because I used the same word
again in the email message. And, I am also talking about when
people make it so bad that spell chem would catch it and wouldn't
know what it is--being completely off. And, if you really think
that my suggestion was a lousy one and you prefer to read emails
that are hardly readable, then don't take this seriously.
