A Secure Data (SD) card is tiny, about the size of a postage
stamp and about the thickness of a potato chip. They make them
in capacities of up to 2 Gigabytes and I am told the card uses
about one-half the power a comparable Compact Flash (CF) card
does.

SD cards come in standard and turbo speed. They also have a tiny
little write-protect switch on the bottom right-hand side of the
card which can be set to prevent any writing to the card to
protect important files.

The CF card is older technology than the SD card and a bit bigger
and for some, easier to handle because of this.

I'm not sure if CF cards come in different speeds. I have an 8
gigabyte one and have heard they make them even bigger.

The Mpower has both an SD card slot, located below the client USB
port and a CF card slot located to the right of the SD slot.

Which card you want to use depends upon how easy you find
handling tiny, little, delicate, things, how much storage
capacity you need and whether you need to be able to use the
files on the card on a Classic as well as an Mpower.

The Classic only has a CF card slot and I believe a PC/MCIA card
slot.

The little carrying case for an SD card is the same size as a CF
card carrying case but has an insert inside it to prevent the SD
card from rattling around.

Hope this answers your questions.

Brian
