Ottawa Canada Dear Virgie:
Sounds like when you ordered your transplant, the person you spoke with on the telephone had been miss-informed as to the backlog if any, either that, or one heck of a lot of units came in for transplantation all at once. Not sure how Humanware ships from New Zealand to their Concord, CA plant. Problem a firm like Humanware has when a product is overwhelmingly popular is trying to fulfil orders in a timely fashion without sacrificing quality control. A BrailleNote is a precision electro-mechanical device with its display having a lot of precision parts and you just can't hire someone off of the street in the morning and have them assembling units by Noon. You also need somewhere for them to work, and you can't just tack on an extension to a factory building overnight and have techs working in it the next morning. I expect Humanware is doing their best to fulfil orders as quickly as possible, but seems transplantation is very popular. Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
