Hi all,

I want to put in my vote here too. If you want FM radio, go buy one
at Walmart for $10.00 There is no reason on earth for the BrailleNote
to have an FM radio. Now, DAISY reader, absolutely! I think that
reader should be able to read both audio and text.

Frankly, the problem with many people who are blind is that they don't
read Braille well, and that's the fault of the miriad sighted teachers
the U.S. insists on hiring because they can drive! With the price of
gas the way it is, wouldn't surprise me if schools for the blind come
back into vogue. Then, maybe our kids would get decent Braille
training, and we wouldn't see people thanking others for "tharrow"
information! Maybe if there were more emphasis and demand for
Braille, the price would come down. Yes, put the FM radio in the
VoiceNote! Give me a BrailleNote with a decent file system,
(incidently Jonathan's solution for the folders and directory problem
didn't work), give us FTP and a DAISY book reader/player. If you were
of a mind to give entertainment stuff, how about some word games and
trivia games to go with the adventure ones.

Friends, there's nothing like a BrailleNote for editing. You can't
see what you're editing with Jaws. In Braille, everything's right
there, all the spacing, all the everything!

Our friends who are deaf-blind need this Braille! It is even more
important to them than it is to us. Frankly, I'd trade in the FM
radio for TDD support!

Ann P.
