Wendy,
I would recommend getting the GPS from SenderoGroup especially since your son already has a BrailleNote. And on top of that Sendero has the all around ease of use and has the biggest database of POI's (11 million and still counting). You won't regret purchasing it from Sendero, if this turns out to be your choice.

I hope this is not considered off-topic. Our 13 year old son
uses his
mpower non-stop for almost everything he does. We are
considering getting  him a
GPS unit. Can anyone give me some advice or experiences between
the
braillenote device and the trekker? He has read about both of
them.   He does use a
