Hi Alex,

I have had occasions when writing an email, or editing a document, that I've done something really stupid, and did not want those changes to remain. In that case, I was very glad of the feature you are complaining about. There have also been occasions when I, too, have hit that escape key one too many times, and lost something I'd been working on, so I totally understand your frustration. But I wouldn't want there to not be a way to just get out of a document or email without saving any of the changes! So, for me, it comes down to just remembering to be careful. I hope this makes sense!

Rachael

I have no problem with the prompt. I mean that when you exit at
the prompt, without pressing y or n, your work or changes are
deleted. Just make KS so that the exit command does not work,
and Y or N must be selected, like when deleting a file: ENTER
does not confirm a deletion, Y or N must be pressed so that one
can not just press ENTER one too many times, then it is too late.

This is Jospeh. If you look closely at Microsoft Word, you would
find this:
when you exit the document, when a document has been changed, it
will prompt
the same thing that BN does. The dialog says, "Do you want to
save to
changes to (document name)?" This is similar to the prompt that
you'll get.
If you say yes, it'll be saved, If you say no, thenj you'll lose
changes. It
does not prompt the email prompt in Outlook or any email programs
(When you
are done with your email, KeyMail asks if you are ready to send
the email.
Many email programs does not prompt it; hwoever, with Outlook or
OE, it does
prompt you if you want to save the changes (sending the email)
when you pres
ESC.)l. So, this is an operating system prompt.

Hi all,

I would like to suggest a fix for something that is increasingly
bugging me.
I think that at prompts such as "document was modified. Save as
a KeyWord
document?" or "ready to send this email?", the SPACE with E
(escape for qt?)
command should NOT act as a "lose document changes" or "delete
email"
button. I once lost an entire class final exam when I accidently
pressed
SPACE with E one too many times, and have lost several
just-finished emails
that way.
Alex
