I tried the flash disk, then I tried both my sd and compact flash
cards it works just fine.

Where are you storing your recordings?? Are you using a
removable drive or
to the internal flash drive. If you're using an external drive,
try a
couple with the flash disk, and see if that makes any kind of
difference.
