Please let me clarify this question. Sendero is a Humanware Dealer and will offer prices both by online ordering and phone. The decrease in price for online orders is reduced because of the decrease in personnel time.
We do market other products other than the Sendero GPS system. You will receive the same warranty as is offered by Humanware and as a direct Sendero customer we will provide telephone assistance and technical support for the products purchased from Sendero. We are not the prime provider of technical support for the BrailleNote products, but will assist our customers and work with Humanware to resolve any problems with Humanware products. Please understand I am not in the sales and this is not a sales pitch, but a clarification. Joshua Young writes: > I would like to here of people's experiences purchasing BN's. I sent the following email to Sendero. You don't mention GPS here. The only reason to order from Sendero is if you want the GPS. Otherwise order from Humanware. > > I am interested in ordering an mPower BT 18. I would like to order online. > > 1. Why is the online price cheaper? Why doesn't HW have online ordering? Humanware probably doesn't have online ordering because it is easier to talk about purchasing an item which costs thousands of dollars on the phone. You can still use your credit card. If you want to order online because you cannot use the phone effectively, I believe they have TDD access. Or you can call via relay. > 2. Would I get the same level of tech support from HW if I order from Sendero? You would get the same level of support for the BN from Humanware, but again, only buy from Sendero if you are interested in the GPS software. That's why they sell the Human ware products, to go with the GPS. > 3. Is the one year warranty from Sendero? What does it cover? This again is a sticky question, Joshua because you do not mention the GPS here. Humanware gives a one year warrantee which can be extended for a price. I believe the GPS from Sendero is also under warrantee for a year. > 4. Does Sendero sell SMA's? > In short, is purchasing from Sendero different from HW? Again, yes, yes and yes, because you only purchase from Sendero if you plan to buy the GPS software. If you just want the BN, then go to Humanware. > > Here is an additional question I have not sent. > 5. Does purchasing require a deposit or holding of funds? I believe you have to purchase the item/items upfront and the whole price must be given. HTH, Ann P. -- Ann K.
