This is Joseph. I saw an adapter which has a hole for 220V cords and it has
a 120V plug on the other end. I think that 12V to 220V converter also exists
in addition to 220V to 120V converter.
P.S. South Korea also uses 220V.

Alex, regarding standardization, I think Humanware should get the blame!! 
It should have built the notetaker with a dual voltage transformer.  I 
expected this would have been the case for a product coming out of New 
Zealand where I believe the 220 voltage is also used.  There are many more 
countries running on 220 volts, so implementing a dual voltage transformer 
could not have been that difficult.  The Japanese do it all the time even on

electronics shipped into the United States!!
