Hello Stephanie: You can of course use a BrailleNote classic to receive email providing that it is not too old. To help narrow down your choices, what version of Keysoft are you using??
As to your question n routers, a router is a device that allows a broadband internet connection to be shared. In its normal configuration, a broadband modem is connected to the internet via either DSL or Cable (I don't know what your choices will be in Australia). The router is then connected to the output of the broadband modem. It usually provides 4 or more ports to connect multiple connections to the internet. Some, if not most, routers also provides wireless access. This simply means that no cable is needed between the connected PC's or BrailleNotes and the router. hth Jeff ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
