I'm resending this as I didn't see a response and can't remember whether I
even noticed the message had arrived at the list.

Subject: AN INTERESTING, THOUGH UNSOLVED, EMAIL HICCUP
Hi all,
We've had an interesting time around here in the past few days. As so
often happens, I'm not sure of the cause or when it actually started, so
I'll just plunge into the happenings and hope that something may be
relevant or that at least I'll know where to go next.
A couple of weeks back I altered our wireless setup in order to use our
WEP settings and eventually (after some oddities with the database on the
mPower and a fix from Sarah), I got it all working again; though we did
observe that connections were slower.
Over the past couple of weeks I have also been forwarding some messages I
had stored on the mPower and wished to keep on my computer. This produced
interesting results. Quite often, for no apparent reason, I would receive
an error message and the outgoing (forwarded message) wouldn't be sent.
With resets I eventually shunted out the mail though we continued to
experience these glitches from time to time.
Mike then forwarded a message from his friend for me to read and I
discovered that part of it was missing. Upon checking the message he had
received, there was indeed more of it. We tried a couple of times to send
and all appeared well, but each time the message was stopped at the same
point. I looked at the original and could find no reason for this. I
have freed the database (though it wasn't unduly large) and have carried
out all the first three resets but this hasn't put things right.
I am loath to delete the email database since we still have a little mail
there we'd like to keep, but realise this may be the only solution.
If anyone else has ideas or suggestions what else I should do before
taking this step then please let me know.
Thanks very much for any help offered.
