The western digital drive is not a thumb drive, but an external hard drive
with a cord. A thumb drive doesn't have a cord, but plugs directly into the
USB port.

Does a thumb drive have  an electrical cord, so it doesn't tax the Bn
battery?  Can you use a thumb drive like the Western Digital Passport
external drive, meaning with or without a cord?
(How big is the Western Digital  80-GB external drive?)
