Hi, I'm guessing, but it sounds like your machine may have gone into hibernate mode.
It could be that when this happens, the voicenote sees the function key as a wakeup key and then the letter t as the first actual command. Try pressing the advance thumb key first and then function with t to see if that solves your problem. Or, as you've found out, the spacebar will also wake up the voicenote. The machine goes into hibernate mode after 10 minutes of inactivity provided it is not plugged into the AC Adapter. If it's plugged into the AC Adapter, it will not automatically go into hibernate mode. The hibernate mode is there to save battery power. This is especially useful if you forget to turn off the unit. If I hit the space bar or other key before the alt t it tells me the time. this is extremely annoying particularly if I've fallen asleep reading and end up at the top of the file and can't remember where I left off. Anyone know why this happens, the read t combination works fine it's just this odd issue when the machine is in sleep mode or whatever it goes into. any ideas appreciated.
