[Braillenote] using number signs

I am trying to put a number sign in the user name when setting up 
an email.  In this field, do I use just the plain standard 
braille sign?
Also, in this same field, how do I put the underline field.  Is 
it the 4, 5 6 or the 4, 6?  Thanks.
