Hello Steph,
You need to make sure the router is wireless capable. Some are, and some are not. As long as your router is wireless capable, you should be just fine. No, it is not another phone call if you can get it set up yourself. Once the router is connected to the pc, all you need to do with the braillenote, is go to options, c for connectivity, w for wireless, select scan for wireless networks, when you see your ssid, select it, you will want to give it a name, and follow the prompts. One thing you will want to do, which needs to be done on the pc, is set up a wep key, this makes your wireless settings secure so that no one can come by and use your settings or tap in and get information. Once you do this on the pc, the same exact wep key will need to be entered on the braillenote. I hope this makes sense, and if you have furtherquestions, don't hesitate to ask.
Robert

Subject: [Braillenote] modem

Hi all,
I am going to get dsl in about 10 days time. The modem is going
to be supplied, and I was wondering how I'm going to know if it
works with wireless or not. Do most of them work with a wireless
card? Also, is it another phone call when you connect with the
braille note, even if the pc is already online.
Steph
