Hi, I have the same problem. I think it would be nice if the made it with just a little more room on the lid.

I rarely remove my BN from the case. In fact, I'm not sure I
understand
why it would be necessary to do so to charge the device.

One thing I do which is probably unwise, is to plug in the
charger with
the cover of the case open.
