yes Nicole, I read it but I assumed someone else would respond!

here, we use activeSync over both USB and ethernet.  With the mPower, USB 
is easiest.  When we want to sync with a classic, we have to set up a 
partnership using a normal serial lead, make a partnership in activeSync 
and then switch the braillenote over to ethernet activesync.  (again, for 
the PK, USB is easiest).  If you want to start getting really complicated, 
you can use wireless instead of ethernet.

I'm not sure if you can use a serial to USB converter - I'd guess so. 
Which model of BrailleNote do you have?
