Hi Dennis:
When you get the authentication message, have you tried entering
the phone number? Are there any things in the number that are
different, like a plus or minus? I'm probably grasping here,
<smile>.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] 7.01 Upgrade Question
Hello Listers, Rhonda, Jonathan et al
Final attempt with connecting my BN to my Nokia N70 mobile phone
with O2 (in
the UK).
We managed to get the connection working from my N70 to my laptop
through
BlueTooth (it uses com5) so at least I know the phone's Bluetooth
is working
as it should. O2 had given me the wrong settings - there is an
additional
modem string and a different username/password for GPRS.
OK, so far so good.
The Bn on the other hand is still coming up with an error. All is
set
according to Rhonda and the manual's instructions. The BN and N70
are
paired, I make the connection from the BN, am asked by the N70 if
I want to
accept the connection from the BN, say yes, and then get the
error 'cannot
find port - check that the modem is connected.
Any help welcomed on this please.
Then - and only after this - I will move on to the next topic -
trying to
get the BrailleNote to work as a Braille display with WindowEyes
:)
