Matt,
In this case, you should have selected embosser or printer port to USB (Go
to Wordeprocessor/Emboss/Setup Options, and at the list, select USB as the
emboss port).

Subject: [Braillenote] USB Embossor treated as Storage Device on
BrailleNotemPower

Hi All,

the subject says it all! On my BrailleNote mPower, when I connect my
USB embosser, I'm given a "Card not Recognised" prompt. Printing works
fine.

1. connect a Basic S/D with firmware version 10.x to the BrailleNote
mPower BT using the USB host port.

2. Switch the BrailleNote on and set the embosser port to USB, ensure
the visual display is off, and set ActiveSync to serial.

3. Switch the Braille embosser on. A message is displayed: "Card Not
Recognised". Press enter and ignore this message.

4. Attempt to emboss the Demonstration Document, located in the general
folder of the flash disk.

5. Upon completion, a further message is displayed: "Embosser Error: .
the specified network resource or device is no longer available". The
BrailleNote does not emboss the document.

6. subsequent tries result in the same message, but at the emboss or
setup prompt.

Does anyone know how to fix this, and if so, could they please get back
to me as soon as possible, as this will have an impact on my school
work.

Thanks in advance,
Matthew
