Hello!
Your Embosser setup looks fine! You however need to check a couple of other
places and settings.
While in your document to be embossed, go to the format menu by typing dots
2 3 4 6 with spacebar. and space till you hear layout and press enter.
Space through the options till you find Emboss Page Numbers? Currently no.
If you wish to change this, type Y for yes. If not, leave as is. Emboss
both sides of the paper? Currently no. Type Y for yes to change this to
both sides of the paper. This setting must match the embosser setting to
emboss both sides of the paper. When exiting the settings you will be asked
whether you wish to confirm changes? Type Y for yes if you are satisfied
with your changes.
Go back into the format menu again. Go through the options till yu find
page settings and type enter. Make certain the paper length and width match
what you set in the embosser setup list. Your document won't turn out right
if you don't match these settings. Of course, you will be asked to confirm
changes? Type Y for yes if you are satisfied with what you set up.
Regarding your Juliet Pro. I believe it is menu option 17 which selects
lines per page. I'd set that to 25 rather than the default of 27 in the
embosser menu you are using. I would set top of form (option 30 to five.
This is five tenths of an inch since they say each setting increment is a
tenth of an inch. One may as well say a half inch from the top of the page.
I usually set the margin on narrow paper to 32. You won't be too close to
the edge this way. Give it a try with 33 and if you are happy, that's okay,
it is your work! I think though 32 is sufficient and you won't be too close
to the edge of the paper.

Subject: [Braillenote] Embosser settings
Hi all.
I'm new to this list, as I only got my Braille Note Mpower within the last
couple weeks. I'm still trying to get used to its many features, and I'm
still setting up the Braille Note to work with my existing devices. I've
come across a problem with my Juliet Pro-60 when trying to emboss docs from
Braille Note, but I haven't been able to track down the issue on my own yet.
I've read through the Braille Note's manual on setting up embossers, gone
through the embosser setup procedure, and made tripple sure I've matched the
settings with my Juliet. I'm still having issues getting the Braille Note to
emboss interpoint. I've run print test docs directly from the Juliet to make
sure there's not a hardware problem, and it's embossing perfectly, so it's
got to be a setting I've messed up or missed somewhere.
I've got the Mpower's embosser settings as follows:
Paper Length: 25
Paper Width: 33 (I'm using 8-1/2 by 11 embosser paper)
Use Form Feeds Between Pages: yes
Pause After Each Page: no
Emboss Both Sides of Page: yes
Page Offset: 0
Embosser Braille Table: Keysoft 6-dot english braille table.ebt
Embosser Port: serial
Baud Rate: 9600
Parity: none
Number of Data Bits: 8
Handshaking: software
Any ideas why I can't emboss interpoint? TIA
There is nothing more exhilarating than to be shot at without result. Sir
