Depending upon how fast your DSL connection in Sai Pan will be, you may be able to use your cat 5 Ethernet cable or might need a cat 6 cable. So you probably want to take the cat 5 cable with you. You won't need your serial cable for a DSL connection but may need your router if the DSL modem doesn't have one built into it. Some DSL modems have a built-in router but not all do.
