Hi Jim,
Thank you for your detailed instructions. I spoke to Ronda over the phone
last night, and she walked me through the upgrade.
I just want to thank folks like Ronda and Jim and others for being so
helpful.

Milissa,
If your unit is working properly with Keysoft 7.0 presently, you don't
need that E-boot file. It is necessary if you are upgrading to Keysoft 7.0
from let's say Keysoft 6.1.1 or Keysoft 6.2. You would then follow the
Keysoft 7.0 upgrade instructions to get your unit to Keysoft 7.0. Once
your unit is upgraded to Keysoft 7.0, or it already has Keysoft 7.0
working properly, you only need the NK.BIN file which has the Keysoft 7.01
patch. Be sure to place or download this patch to a properly prepared or
formatted SD card. This is done by running the "prepare SD Card for
upgrade" program which is located in the Keysoft System disk in the
windows folder. Press U for utilities menu, space till you hear run
application program, press enter, when asked for which program, go to the
Keysoft System disk and windows folder and run the above program to
prepare your SD card for upgrade. If you already have a card which has
been properly prepared or formatted, then go to the next step. Copy or
download the NK.bin file which is the 7.01 patch. That is the only file
you will need on your SD card provided 7.0 is working properly in your
machine. Rename or delete any old NK.bin files you might have on the SD
card you use. Once the SD card is inserted, be certain your M-power is
plugged into an outlet. Press reset with dots 4 6 on a BT Keyboard. You
will hear ascending tones. Press dots 1 and 2 by themselves and you will
hear a few more tones, then silence! Then do another reset holding down
dots 4 5 while doing that reset. You will hear more tones and you will
see messages on your Braille display if you have one. If all of these
things happen, your upgrade is well on its way. Just wait a few minutes
till your unit resets or reboots again and you should hear the Keysoft
7.01 message. You are then good to go. I have a BT unit so my
instructions work with a BT unit.

Subject: [Braillenote] Need Help With 7.01 Upgrade
Hello Listers,
I am following the Keysoft 7.0 upgrade instructions for the 7.01 upgrade.
However, I am not able to find the file "eboot.bin". I have cut and
pasted the instructions on how to obtain this file. However, the link is
not on the website as the instructions say. Where would I go to get this
file?
4. From the same website http://www.humanware.com/7_0. Click on the link
called
"Keysoft 7.0 Boot Loader mPower". And save this to the SD card or your PC
(the
file is called eboot.bin).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Milissa
