I don't use hotmail but back when Yahoo was free Pop3 they had a faq page that 
listed the information needed for filling in the pop3 and smtp fields.

Typically, it would be:

POP3: pop3.hotmail.com
SMTP: smtp.hotmail.com

But it could be different.  My new broadband uses the following:

POP3: mail.insightbb.com
SMTP: mail.insightbb.com

You may have to look around for the information but I am sure they will readily 
have it available.
