<smiling> Sharonda, you've painted yourself into a corner. Now you
shouldn't ought to do that. When you asked your first question, it
was unclear as to what you wanted to do, therefore, the answers you
received were not the ones which apply to your question. Here are the
answers you're seeking, now that you have clarified what you really
want to know.

First of all, transferring files between computer and BN is one of the
things for which the machine is designed. Therefore there are several
ways to do this. You can use a software program and transfer the
files via a serial cable or bluetooth or infrared technology. this is
easily, well, hmmmm, somewhat easily done by using Activesync. You
can find info on Activesync by looking in the manual under that topic.

The second way to transfer files is to, as you say, buy the hardware
meants to do this which is often the easier way to do this instead of
using Activesync. The purpose of Activesync is to synchronize your
outlook and your BrailleNote.

What you need is a card reader. If you have USB ports on your
computer, you get a card reader and connect it to your computer. Then
you buy, either compact flashcards or SD cards and place them in the
card reader and then transfer your files to it, then place the same
card into the BrailleNote. Depending on the size of the cards you
buy, you're looking at approximately $25.00 per card. The reader will
cost about the same amount.

Hope this answers your question? Next time you want info, be sure to
put the most important thing you want first in your post. In other
words, put what you want to know first, then explain why. Something
like you just did above. this was a clear statement and communicated
well. <smile> You want to say, "Can it snow in July in Florida? I
want to know this because I'm planning a trip there, and I've never
been there before." (Yes, I have a habit of using whacky examples to
illustrate my point. I figure if I do that, people will remember what
I say.

Take care, have a great day.
