Hi,

ok, that does sound like it might be a problem. How old is the
battery? How hot is it outside? As I said, I'd expect it to go from
ambient up another 15 or so degrees, but not a lot more than that. I
think you might have to send it in. Feel free to email me directly with
further details, for example this sounds like it's only just started
happening?
regards,
Andy.

Re: [Braillenote] hot batteries

Hi Andrew:

Well, for the most part, the battery in my BrailleNote Classic gets
charged
when it is down to say about 5% or even less.

Never before has it gotten so hot nearing the end of a charge cycle. This

gets really, really hot and smells awful too.

It hasn't been quite a year, unless I am mistaken, that I had the drive in

this thing changed for nearly $190, although the 30-day period or so for
returns of a bad repair had come and gone. I didn't have trouble until
now,
so where do I go from here? Ship it back to the END OF THE UNIVERSE and
HOLD MY BREATH if I have enough left? I am all ears for advice on this
one!!

Sincerely,
Olusegun
