It is myunderstanding that Humanware and RFB&D are discussing a way to make
it possible for us to read RFB&D books on our brailleNotes.
This was mentioned at the BrailleNote workshops at the NFB convention.

Yes that is true Karyn, but if you already own a Victor Reader,
you probably don't want to go and plunk down a bunch more money
for another one from RFB and D to read their books.
It looks like DAISY file format is the defacto standard for
digital talking books in North America, but the media they put
them on is CD for RFB and D, proprietary memory cards for NLS and
who knows what for other producers, I'm surprised someone hasn't
proposed distributing digital talking books on DVD!
I really wish producers of digital talking books weren't so
utterly paranoid of someone who isn't blind, dyslexic or
physically handicapped getting hold of a digital title.
