You can also change the length of the alarm, so that it will not stop right away. Maybe a possible suggestion for HW would be making the BN have a clock radio feature or playing a song or sound already on the BN besides the default alarm sound. Good point about people with hearing loss, though.

My left ear isn't good enough to spot the alarm.
When I'm in a loud setting, I turn my alarm up to 30.
I only have my right ear to hear out of.
