Actually, a dongle is an adaptor, often a USB adaptor, that extends
functionality to a device, for example a bluetooth dongle enables
bluetooth functionality to a device that doesn't support bluetooth out
of the box. They can come as USB adaptors, parallel adaptors, and, I
believe, some come in CF cards. Hope that helps.
